The Bannock County fairgrounds in Downey, ID sit quiet tonight, a sharp contrast from earlier this week when the grounds were filled with laughing and talking, chutes shutting, bulls lowing, and goats bleating. Approximately 30 kids gathered to improve their rodeo skills and to hear about God's plan for their life. One of our favorite weeks of the year. We are always thankful to be a part of it.

This week Nathan worked in Cottonwood, ID at Emmanuel Baptist with a small mission team from Tennessee. They started an addition to the older section of the church. It will hold two classrooms. They got the entire addition framed, the roof completed, and the siding put on. It was more than they anticipated getting accomplished. Nathan enjoyed returning to work in the area and catching up with many great friends and meeting some new ones as well.
Meanwhile Amber and Faith went to Salmon where Amber taught missions at Vacation Bible School and Faith participated in her final VBS in Salmon. Yep, she is that old! We finished up our work for the time being at Clark Fork Fellowship last Friday. (Sorry for the late update. The computer and the camera ended up at two different locations and we were unable to download pictures until tonight) We got the trim finished around the stage, the upstairs carpets shampooed, and put in wiring for the sound system. We will return to Clark Fork later this year to complete more of the work on the building and to put a new roof on the pastor's home with a mission team. We enjoyed our time there and look forward to returning.
This past week Prairie Hills Baptist Church from Augusta, KS came to help Clark Fork Fellowship with work on their building. The mission team brought six amazing members who accomplished more than they set out to do. They cleaned all of the trash out of the building completely filling a 30-yard dumpster. They painted the interior walls in the sanctuary and hallway. They replaced all of the florescent lights with LED lights and replaced all the chandeliers in the sanctuary. The kitchen was completely cleaned out. Downstairs carpets were shampooed. Everything was weed eaten and weeds were sprayed. New plants and landscaping bricks were put in front of the building and the front exterior of the building was painted white and the concrete on the sides was painted red. Some drywall was hung, textured, and painted. An opening was created in the breakroom to make way for the Clark Fork Cafe coming in the future. The building looks so much better. There were several community members who stopped by to see what was happening at the church and the pastor was able to visit with most of the them. Superior, Montana was definitely made aware of the presence of Clark Fork Fellowship in the community this past week.
