This past week we worked with a wonderful group of people from Tennessee, Kentucky, and Louisiana in Colorado. One group worked at Harvest Community Church in Olathe putting vinyl flooring in the fellowship hall, kitchen, halls and bathroom and replacing the lights in the sanctuary. Once the tiling was complete, a portion of the group went and put in flooring in the pastor’s home while the other put in baseboard at the church The other group replaced the deck at the Pregnancy Resource Center in Delta, Colorado. It was a great team to work with and all of the work got accomplished. This will allow ministry to continue at both locations in this spiritually needy area of the United States.

We have planned to come and work at Falls Baptist Church for months. The church needed their parking lot striped. Naturally that work is best completed in Idaho during the summer months. But our priorities changed Easter weekend when a vehicle struck the building causing some damage. We wrap up the work today and will be heading out tomorrow. We are grateful that the work was able to get done and that the church now has full use of their building and parking lot. It was a blessing to be working with the church.
We arrived in Provo June 22. FBC Provo had Wartrace Baptist Church and First Baptist Shelbyville coming to finish roofing the remaining section of the roof over the main building that has been worked on in sections over the past couple years. They also had the goal of doing both of the roofs on the classroom buildings. By Friday, they had completed the difficult main roof and finished one of the buildings. FBC Provo got a team together to remove the remaining roof Saturday morning. That crew got the roof tore off and half the roof shingled that day. Nathan and Amber finished shingling the roof Monday morning. The women and men who could not roof had plenty to do. Landscape work and painting were two of the primary jobs. One gentlemen was an electrician who completed much work during the week. |
