Crossroads Church needed a new roof. A mission team from three different churches in Tennessee brought a skilled mission team to help. We started on Saturday the 17th tearing off the old shingles. In addition to the mission team, many members at Crossroads and a sister church in town came to help. There were over 50 people working together and the large roof was 90% removed in 2 1/2 hours and completely removed by lunch. The following week, the team and several members of the church worked in the mornings and late evening to put the new roof on and the avoid the extreme heat in the afternoons. The roof was completed Thursday morning. This allowed the team to focus on projects in the sanctuary. They worked on getting a storage room built behind the sanctuary and removed some old windows. It was not all work and no play. On Sunday after church, we went to Antelope Island and to a rodeo on Wednesday night. This past week was a blessing to us as we worked with the mission teams, many of whom are old friends, And the new members was now new friends. It was also great to reconnect with friends at Crossroads.
